Playoff Qualifications All teams make the playoffs, which are double-elimination format. Each grade will be broken into 2 divisions for the playoffs.
Playoff Dates Playoffs begin with the first round – March 1st-March 3rd. This is when the higher seeded teams will host their first games at home, on any one of those 3 nights. Teams who get a first round bye will start the playoffs in the second round on Friday, March 4th.
Beginning on Friday, March 4th, the league will host the remainder of the playoff games. All league hosted playoff games will be held at either the Governor’s Academy, Danvers Indoor Sports, and possibly a few other sites. These sites are considered “neutral sites” and the higher seeded team is the home team. The playoffs will end by March 13, 2015.
Your playoff schedule will depend on your particular bracket. There is little to no flexibility with the bracket game times. I understand that it is challenging, but we cannot adjust the brackets to fit all schedules. We will try to release the brackets with scheduled dates and times as early as possible to allow for planning.
Once the regular season ends on February 28th, we will finalize the seedings and the brackets will be automatically filled in. The brackets will be available on the league website, and you will be able to see where you could possibly play throughout the remainder of the playoffs, depending on if your team wins or loses. As I mentioned before, the playoffs are double-elimination. The championship games are also double elimination.
